Introduction

Word of mouth is still the most convincing thing in the word to be used for multipurpose targets. It is also quite according to the human nature that a person likes to be briefed and informed by other human beings. This very method of marketing is the oldest and the most authentic way which satisfies the listener readily. Here a person himself addresses the clients and convinces them of his doings or products.

Forms of Word of Mouth Marketing

Word of mouth marketing may have different forms depending upon a number of factors belonging to time, space and requirement. First of all door to door visit or person to person communication has been the most popular form of word of mouth marketing.

When a person meets another person and briefs him about something and also ensures the questions or queries about that very thing, both of them get fully convinced or satisfied. Furthermore, words of mouth marketing also involves the communication between the two persons on mobile phone or land phone. This is also a direct the same effect as produced by the door to door visit.

Sometimes it so happens that a person addresses a huge gathering of people informing them in detail about something. He describes the advantages and details of that very product and proves a successful marketer then and there. Such type of word of mouth marketing often takes place in villages and less developed towns where latest electronic modes of communication have not yet reached. This is also a very traditional way of marketing being followed for centuries now.

Another form of word of mouth marketing is that a person should appear on the radio or television and inform people about his product by giving details of its different aspects. This very form of marketing is also very influential because people listen and watch electronic media attentively. Audio-video advertisement is the modern form of word of mouth marketing which produces very healthy influence on the mind of people especially the children who get convinced instantly about different eatables, games, toys etc and enforce their parents to provide them.

Thus we see that word of mouth marketing has different forms ranging from the simplest personal visits to the audio-video ads.

Importance and Advantages

Word of mouth marketing is absolutely a direct way of marketing which brings about quick and better response of the listener. It is, therefore, both time saving and influential at one and the same time.

Print media, no doubt has its own great importance which can never be denied, but this importance is confined only to the readers who happen to read it. On the other hand, Mouth of word marketing is wide ranging and requires no reading but just listening which is obviously more scope full as well. Moreover, word of mouth marketing does not necessarily require higher education as is required for writing a book. Even an ordinary illiterate or less educated person can do word of mouth marketing easily if he has a convincing tone and will power required to keep sticking to that task.

All the new ideas, theories, philosophies and laws are introduced and formulated by human beings and then they are brought to light through books, computer software, etc. This proves that human beings are the best source of new ideas and innovations, so they are naturally the best informers of those very innovations. Thus word of mouth marketing which is actually the words of human beings is the most influential of all the other modes of all the other modes of marketing.

Last but not the least, word of mouth marketing also increases the rate of employment in the country as it requires more and more persons to undertake or handle marketing manually. Thus it is quite clear that word of mouth marketing is still very much effective even in this age of latest and fastest electronic media.

Any homeowner can landscape their own garden, in order to have beautiful outdoor scenery without having to spend chunks of money. Landscaping services from professional landscapers can be quite costly although those who can afford to do so, or those who are planning a more complex design can hire a garden artist or landscaper for their outdoor garden. If you have an eye for imagination however, and are a natural green thumb with plants and flowers, you can landscape your own garden and give an even more personalized theme to it.

The first thing that must be taken into consideration when you want to landscape an empty garden lot is to stretch your imagination by getting hold of ideas and sources as much as you can. Search the internet for possible garden ideas, or browse through lifestyle magazines on the latest in home gardening. The more pictures you view and the greater the amount of information you are able to gain, the easier you will have an idea on what your own garden will look like. You can also visit other people’s gardens and see what ideas you can apply to your own.

Make certain however to add a personalized taste to it so as to avoid copying an entire garden design.

Second, check your finances and see to it that the type of garden landscape you want fits the budget that you have set aside for it. If you want to have a simple garden with flowering shrubs, ivies, and pebble stones, then this will definitely cost less that when you decide to add a few decorative touches like garden statues, clay vases, or a water fountain. However, landscaping need not happen overnight. You can plan over a longer period, according to your budget, and add a few elements after another. This way, you don’t have to shell out a single huge amount for your garden.

Third, take into deliberation your garden size, the style of your home, the general climate of your location, the type of flowers that will flourish the most, and of course, the materials that you can afford. If you have a small-sized garden, you can still decorate it to its fullest potential. Use smaller stones as decoration, and avoid planting over sized shrubs and trees. Maximize space as much as possible by planting flowers that have complementary colors, using single colored stones, maintaining an evenly mowed carpeting of grass, and planting flowers around the trunk of a medium sized tree to save space.

Rocks and stones can add instant appeal to any garden. Flowers and plants look more alive with stones, and stones can also be used to steady large pots of plants. There are a lot of stone types to fit any garden landscape needs. Marble and sandstones which come in an array of colors can be used to decorate garden walls. Slate stones are excellent for water soaked areas, like ponds and fountains. Granite stones make beautiful and sturdy stepping stones, although this can be quite expensive. As a substitute, any flat stone like limestone can be utilized for stepping stones. Pebbles, which are generally affordable and low maintenance, are good for bordering and wall designs in gardens.

Any garden can come alive with a few decorating efforts, and this does not always require an expensive budget. Landscaping need not be costly so long as you are willing to take the time to plan and execute your garden designing plans, and are wiling to experiment with your creative side. Landscape your garden, and you’ll have endless reasons to spend more time outdoors and admire the fruits of your patience and successful efforts.

So, you are a huge Disney fan, and have decided that you want to try and draw one of the Disney characters yourself. There are plenty of books that are available on the subject, but for now please feel free to use this handy guide until you are able to get one of those books for yourself.

First thing you should do when you want to draw a Disney character is to gather the tools that you will need. You will need paper, a pencil, an eraser, a colored pencil and a marker. Next, you will want to choose a Disney character to draw. If this is your first time drawing a Disney character, it’s a good idea to start with someone simple. Mickey Mouse and Mine Mouse are both very easy to draw and good starter characters.

When you have chosen which character you are going to draw, it’s a good idea to have a copy of the character right in front of you for reference. Even if you are a huge Disney fan, small details are sometimes hard to remember and could be missed even by the most avid fans. So keep a copy of the character in your line of sight and get ready to draw!

When drawing a Disney character, or any cartoon character, the first thing you want to do is to draw the basic shapes. Lightly use circles, ovals and curved lines to create the head, body, arms, legs, feet, and hands of your character. These lines are the foundations of your character and will be the basis that you will work from.

Next, you are going to begin making the head the right shape. Using your model drawing as a guide, make sure you get the right proportions, shapes and placements on your Disney character’s eyes, ears, nose and mouth. For most Disney characters, the eyes are large and oval. As for noses and mouths, they differ in animals, obviously, and in the human Disney characters, the noses tend to be simplistic.

Now that you have your Disney character’s head done, it’s time to draw the body. Even if your character normally wears clothes, draw the arms and legs. Be sure to position your character properly, as each Disney character has a position which is unique to them. Remember, for example, Goofy has hunched shoulders and Donald Duck has a large, feather covered bottom.

Now it’s time to dress your Disney character. Again, for your first drawing it’s a good idea to pick out a Disney character that not only has an easy to draw body but easy to draw clothing, or no clothing at all. Samba, Napa and the cast from the Lion King don’t wear any clothing at all, whereas the cast from Aladdin have very elaborate and ornate clothing.

Photo wikimedia.org

Once you are satisfied with the overall picture of your Disney character, take a black pen or marker and make the lines that you intend to keep dark and permanent. Next, take your eraser and get rid of the extra lines that you used as a guide. Finally, it’s time to take those magic markers and colored pencils and color in your character. If you are feeling adventuresome, you can put your character into a scene. Put Princess Jasmine in the marketplace, or Samba on the African plain. Is Aladdin flying his magic carpet through the sky, or is the Genie causing mischief for everyone? The possibilities are endless.

What would happen if Scar wound up in the middle of the forest in Snow White? Or how about the Wicked Stepmother from Snow White sent back to Aladdin’s time? With your imagination you really could come up with some wild scenarios.

One thing to remember is not to be discouraged if your drawing doesn’t turn out the way you think it should turn out the first time. Disney animators do this for a living and they have years and years of practice. The more times you draw your Disney character, the better you will become.

Keep practicing by drawing different Disney characters, and see what characters are easy for you. Each of us has their own style of drawing and therefore some shapes come easier to us. Keep up the practice and who knows? Maybe one day you will be a Disney animator yourself and someone will be trying to draw your characters.
