Things are not being done halves by the company as it offering around 6,000 movies this autumn in which some classics like ‘Some like It Hot’, Raising Arizona, Cult and Fever Pitch have been included.

Heroes, 24, and Family Guy like whole host of TV shows have also been included on the site for free.

Isn’t it sad that the service will be available only in the US and nothing has been told about the UK release date for the free content?

IMDB founder Col Needham said about the new service: “It’s not so that we are contented with only 6,000 free movies, but it’s quite exciting for us to offer our users to enjoy full-length movies and TV episodes for free.”

He added, “It’s our aim to show our users each and every movie and TV show to our users for free on IMDB.com.”

It’s expected that Amazon owned IMDB.com will start this free online movie services in the UK and other European countries very soon.

Fox and NBC have set up their plans in launching the online video site which supports advertisement as a whole. They are also in the intention to host programming from different viewers including Google Inc.’s You tube.

The company officials have planned to launch the test version by Monday and they are putting success steps to launch the original in a few months time. The hosting would probably take place from two networks along with films and TV shows from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc and Sony Corp.

The focus is sure to be laid on shows and films rather than networks as they are going to make things easier. The debut buds out in the middle of entertainment companies and other video sites which are online. They include You Tube which is popular in screening illegal clips often.

The owner of MTV, Comedy Central, VH1 and similar cable channels is prosecuting You Tube for about $1 billion. This is for letting more copyright violation links comprising of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”. But You Tube claims that the copyright laws are followed by them as they remove secure videos on requests.

Hulu has plans of hosting several popular shows to the hundredth episodes. The shows would include “The Simpson’s”, “30 Rock and Fox’s” of NBC’s and also shows such as “Lost in Space” and “Lou Grant” which once received huge applause and fame from the viewers.

In the category of movies, it includes those which are edited to be broadcasted in television. Advertisements are also included in between the films as they would appear in the television. Various programs and events are available online through Hulu.com and other websites MySpace, Comcast, AOL, Yahoo and MSN would act as distributor partners where you can view the same.

In a new, surprising “give and take policy” type of a campaign, fans of the popular horror movie series “Saw” are participating in a blood drive across the USA, where they’re being invited to give blood, in order to get returns from the next sequel in the Saw series.

Less than a week before the Halloween night, Saw IV, the latest sequel of one of the most successful horror movies in Hollywood, opens to public across cinema theatres nationwide this Friday. However, if you thought people were giving blood for no reason, think again. Lionsgate Film Studio, the makers of the movie series, is running a blood drive, and for a good cause, that of blood donations across the country. This also gives them enough opportunity for the promotion of the movie.

This year’s target for blood donation is 60,000 pints, more than twice what was collected last year in the “Give ‘Til it Hurts” drive. The amount of blood collected then was 23,500 pints. Targets are set so high now, as Yahoo! and the American Red Cross have joined hands with Lionsgate to take the drive and the cause to the entire nation.

Is it just the horror connection with the blood that makes this drive happen? Well, yes… But, there’s another reason. Stephanie Millian, Spokeswoman, Red Cross, believes that the core fans of the Saw series, mostly teenagers over the age of 18 and adults in their youth, will gain awareness about blood donation.

A little about the movie (series):
The character that the film revolves around is Jigsaw, who happens to be a cancer patient, with a moral tinge to his role. He abducts people leading their life with questionable values. They’re imprisoned in such a way that if they plan to escape or give it a shot, they’re severely injured.

It’s the twists in the movie and the torture traps set by Jigsaw that have made it a success. Go, watch it.
