Safety Call for Certain Types of Prunes

Dried PlumsConsumers have been warned against the intake of certain types of dried plums. The FDA of USA has released this safety warning. The recent press release has made it clear that certain contents in most dried prune companies have caused more health hazard that any benefit. The Texas Department of State Health Services has listed that some of the types of dried plums and especially the imported plums have high levels of lead.

This is certainly something that should not be consumed for any call for health. The candied and salted treats of prunes that are sold in many Asian as well as Hispanic markets are really the ones to avoid. These are also available in several retail outlets across US. DSHS officials have found that Asian dried plums are particularly high in lead and the tests have revealed that these lead contents have been ranging from 0.11 parts every million to 30.3 parts even!

Now you can order your pizza directly while using FaceBook as Pizza Hut has unveiled a new application knowing people are too lazy these days.

Now aside from checking out what your friends are doing and when you are in mid-way through a poking frenzy while ninja-pirate baiting, you can order food as well.

Using Pizza Hut Interface (hmm clever act), you can order your pasta, pizza and chicken wings.

Confectionery’s Plans to Increase Price of Chocolates

This is a bad news for all chocolate lovers and for all the fans of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolates worldwide. The company had planned on increasing the price of their chocolates to compensate for the increasing cost of its production. Cadbury, one of the leading names in confectionery, plans to increase the prices of its products due to the rising cost of the raw materials used in making their delicious and well-loved chocolates.

Cadbury Schweppes who is famous for Dairy Milk Chocolate and Trident Gum is seeking to increase its prices since the costs of production are set to go up in 2008 by 5-6 percent.

The chocolate company released a comment stating that there was a 9% decline in its annual profit as a result of the increase in cost of production. This decline is estimated to cost $1.3bn. Cadbury, as of the present date, is working on the spinning off of its American drinks. The revenues at Cadbury’s confectionery products had grown in 2007 by 7% as the firm had reported.
