Loopt on iPhone

Remember Loopt? This was one of the first location based iphone application. Loopt is a primarily mobile mapping application. The application displays the exact location of the friends and user. In addition to the location, Loopt also displays the presence status of the user’s friends.

This mobile application generated a lot of buzz and forced competitors to follow suite. Several competitors came out with various applications on the same lines. Even big shots like Google followed the trend by coming up with Latitude Service, a service that followed the same lines

Now Loopt seems all set to hit back at its competitors with thee Loopt version 2.0. It is being speculated that Loopt 2 is going to be a lot bigger and better than the initial application. Several improvisations have been made and new features introduced. One of the prominent features that has been added to Loopt 2.0 is something called ‘places’. This option exists on the toolbar in the newer version of Loopt. It’s being said that this ‘Places’ button is one of the most notable additions of Loopt.

‘A life graph’ is believed to be yet another enticing feature of Loopt 2.0. This life graph feature is somewhat similar to Foursquare. This feature takes into account your social graph along with the places you go to. By taking these two aspects into account, the life graph is able to offer you suggestions as regards the activities you can indulge in.

Whilst the Loopt 2.0 is being touted as a big hit, some downsides are being expected as well. It seems that there would be hurdles for Loopt on the iphone as applications cannot run in the background. The Moto W7 is the newest phone in the market now a day. Well, once again these are Boy Genius, who has brought forward some really impressive and clear close up.

Though the G1 was quite successful in different parts of the world, its blocky look caused a lot more criticism on it. There are many who seem quite captivated with QWERTY keyboard and the coming v2 is going to bring it as well.

Again there is no 3.5mm headphone jack in the device, and obviously again the normal port for connection and that is quite disappointing for some and we can hope that T-Mobile will soon be rectified.

On the other hand, T-Mobile hasn’t confirmed the handset yet, and these pics are a real deal or not, it will take time to confirm.

The new design also has some buttons on the slide out QWERTY, so you can operate it with extended keyboard for touch sensitive keys. Many may reckon it an odd move for the design.

According to Boy Genius report, the handset will hit the shelves in the US in the fourth quarter of this year and in the UK we can expect it quite earlier.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X2

Harlod de Kort, says in his tweets, “It’s natural that the X1 will definitely follow X2, X3, X4 as well as X5 and is there anything that you are looking for something new?”

Some niceties about an array of coming Xperia devices have been emerging on the internet and the devices that are in pipeline right now are really something like a skeleton in the closet for a large number of  such news sources. During the last year, Xperia X5 leaked shots have already appeared and missing number in between could be a bizarre statement without them.
However, these different rumors indicate that something very real is going to happen with Xperia in the coming days. But after original Xperia success, Sony Ericsson is under lots of pressure to come up with the best coming model.

Renzor has cleared his view point on a blog forum and he emphasized with some clear cut words that seems somewhat discomforting for Apple. According to Renzor, Apple’s attitude is quite comparable to Wal-Mart Stores.

“I had the same problem with Wal-Mart some years back and it was really an issue of hypocrisy and consistency. Wal-Mart had chaotic years just after they insisted that their music would be censored of all vulgarities and they would develop only the clean versions of it.”

“To meet Wal-Mart standard different bands had to edit their words and that changed the art of album only because of the reason that a large number of records is sold by Wal-Mart and now you can see the impact as NIN section is empty there,” he added.

He ended his saying with the message: “Apple you must give a close look to your policies and you must also put your app approval scenario together.”

Renzor also linked his developer post in his Tweets on Twitter:

“v 1.0.3 has been rejected while v1.0 is still live, the reason was the content that this application doesn’t have yet. Apple not letting us to enhance the stability of the current application and we are not allowed to fix bugs related to the issue because of objectionable content.”

The company has announced that it will order 4G LTE hardware from LG and it will introduce it during the next year.

DoCoMo’s will offer 300Mbps downloads with this new 4G network and thus the line between fixed home lines and mobile connections will be further blurred.

If you don’t find it enough, the company has also announced to increase its 3G speeds more than 13Mbps down and 5.7Mbps up.
