Book Expo New York
Now the book publishers will be able to directly sell their new books to their readers, as Google is going to launch a new service. A report published in the New York Times says that the search giant has announced about the new service at the BookExpo annual convention in New York.
The new service would be quite contrary to Amazon that offers huge discounts to kindle owners, while with this new Google service, the publishers will be able to sell these books on their own set prices.
Right now, the company has more than nearly one and a half million books for online viewing, while the other six millions will be available for restricted previews and views.

Ahead of its MySpace link-up and 7Digital sarcastic war of word, Amazon UK has now decided to uncover its MP3 music store next month.
A report in New Media Age tells that the online electronics retailer will start its music service in October. It’s, indeed, quite delightful for music labels who consider that Apple’s iTunes service has a monopoly on web music downloads.
On yesterday, 7 digital announced that it has become the first online store in the UK to offer 100% MP3 tracks for UK audience.
