Rumors are there that T-Mobile is going to bring an utterly revamped G1 quite soon and now the pictures of this new handset have leaked to confirm all that which have been circulating for quite some time.

Well, once again these are Boy Genius, who has brought forward some really impressive and clear close up.

Though the G1 was quite successful in different parts of the world, its blocky look caused a lot more criticism on it. There are many who seem quite captivated with QWERTY keyboard and the coming v2 is going to bring it as well.

Again there is no 3.5mm headphone jack in the device, and obviously again the normal port for connection and that is quite disappointing for some and we can hope that T-Mobile will soon be rectified.

On the other hand, T-Mobile hasn’t confirmed the handset yet, and these pics are a real deal or not, it will take time to confirm.

The new design also has some buttons on the slide out QWERTY, so you can operate it with extended keyboard for touch sensitive keys. Many may reckon it an odd move for the design.

According to Boy Genius report, the handset will hit the shelves in the US in the fourth quarter of this year and in the UK we can expect it quite earlier.

T-Mobile’s G1 that will first show off much awaited Android OS will be available in the UK in next two weeks (most probably from 30 October).

Only in UK, there are more than 25,000 per-orders for the G1 and some analysts predicts that that demand for the handset will exceed a lot in other parts of the world as well.

According to some estimates, more than 600,000 T-Mobile G1 handsets that have been manufactured by HTC will be sold till the end of this year and it will outshine the level of demands for the first Apple iPhone.

The handset will have a chance to become the top sellers for the Christmas period with this launch in October and you may wish to have it as a gift from some near and dear one.

This 3.5G will be available with a 2GB pre-installed memory card and Wi-Fi connectivity. But it’s not confirmed yet whether video playback is being added to the final handset as in the prototype this crucial feature was lacking.

To allow its customer to make limitless household calls with landline phones over a broadband connection, T-Mobile USA is about to launch a countrywide service.

The service has been named as T-Mobile AtHome and it will be available after July 2 at the price of $ 10 per month.

A wireless plan that costs around $40 per month and a T-Mobile’s Internet router that prices $50 are required to have the service. The router is connected to the home broadband link and the customer’s corded or cordless phones are connected to that router.

According to T-Mobile USA’s chief executive Robert Dotson “It’s a big opportunity for us to provide T-Mobile customers an incentive landline service.”

The target customers of the service are those users who don’t want “cut the cord” or always prefer wireless to their landline.

In Dallas and Seattle areas, this new service has been testing since February 08.

This AtHome service of T-Mobile is somewhat same to Voice over Internet Protocol or VoIP service that is offered by Vonage Holding Corp. who provides an adapter to make connection with the existing router. A Vonage plan costs $ 25 per month and it provides free calls to the U.S., Canada and in some European countries through landlines.

Taxes or certain fees have not included in these monthly prices as they vary from state to state.
